Maryland Permanent Cosmetics Legislation & Regulation Information
Maryland has very few State regulations regulating tattoo parlors. The State of Maryland does not require tattoo artists or peircers to be licensed. The regulations that do exist are in COMAR–the Code of Maryland Administrative Regulations.
However, local county and city government are often involved in the regulation of tattooing, please check with your local government for more details.

Nevada Permanent Cosmetics Legislation & Regulation Information
There are no state statutes or regulations directly regulating tattoo establishments or tattoo artists.
Tattoo establishments are regulated locally under district and local boards of health. The Health Authorities responsible are:
• Clark County Health District (Body Art Page)
• Washoe County District Health Department (Main Page)
• Carson City Environmental Health Department (Main Page)

The State Health Division has responsibility as the Health Authority for the other rural and frontier counties. The Health Division does not currently have regulations related to tattooing.
